CoreWeave’s bonds are being priced like serious risk. What’s fact, and what’s just talk?
AI cloud company CoreWeave had a rough week in both its stock and its bonds. Here every claim carries a label: FACT (price data we measured), REPORTED (from a named outlet), or UNCONFIRMED.

1. FACT · The stock
CoreWeave closed at $88.45 on 7 October and $65.78 on 14 October, down 15.46% that day and 25.6% over the week. On 15 October it fell as much as 9.5% after the open, then traded about 6% higher at 3:55 p.m. ET (intraday data; the official close was not yet published). [1]
2. REPORTED · The bonds
Its unsecured notes due 2032 were reported trading below 80 cents on the dollar, a yield above 15%, compared with roughly 9% over the summer. [2]
3. REPORTED · Credit default swaps
Five-year credit default swaps, which work like insurance against a default, were reported above 1,000 basis points; S&P Global Market Intelligence data implied roughly a 63% chance of default over five years, against about 30% a year earlier. This is a market price signal, not a prediction. [2]
4. UNCONFIRMED · A “bailout”
Social media posts talk about a rescue deal. None of the reports we read describe one, and we found no company announcement. Until the company or a filing says so, treat it as unconfirmed.
5. The test
Bond prices are a warning light, not a verdict. What would change the picture: company announcements on financing, its next results, and whether bond prices recover.
