Can Anthropic get to $2 trillion?
Anthropic, the company behind Claude, is officially worth $965 billion. Media reports a ~$2 trillion IPO target that the company has not confirmed. Here is what the company’s own numbers say about that gap. Disclosure: we use Claude in our research.

1. The round
On 28 May 2026 Anthropic announced a $65 billion Series H at a $965 billion post-money valuation. Micron, Samsung and SK hynix joined as infrastructure partners; their amounts were not disclosed. [1]
2. The paperwork
On 1 June 2026 Anthropic confidentially submitted a draft S-1 to the US SEC, the first formal step toward a public listing. [2] Media reports a roughly $2 trillion IPO target. The company hasn’t confirmed it, and the full prospectus is not public yet.
3. What $2 trillion would mean
When it announced the Series H, Anthropic said its run-rate revenue had passed $47 billion. [1] Run-rate is the latest month times 12, a snapshot rather than a year of sales. At $965 billion the valuation is about 20 times that run-rate; at $2 trillion it would be about 43 times. That division is our arithmetic, not a company figure.
4. What would have to be true
Revenue has to keep growing fast, and the compute bills have to be paid: a commitment of more than $100 billion over 10 years with Amazon’s cloud, and a $50 billion plan for its own US data centers. These are different kinds of commitments, so we do not add them up. [3] [4]
5. The test
Big quarterly figures in the news come from unnamed sources, not filings, so we leave them out. Until the S-1 is public, the full picture is unknown.
